NBA: Hoiberg wants to give Portis a new chance

The lockdown of eight games for Bobby Portis has now expired. The Power Forward had broken Nikola Mirotic’s jaw in training. Now Portis could play for the Chicago Bulls again. Coach Fred Hoiberg did not rule this out.

“Portis trained last and we’re going to discuss whether he’ll be there in the next few games,”coach Hoiberg told ESPN.”We want to play with the guys we have at our disposal to stay competitive.”

The Portis personalities are controversial. Portis tried to apologize to Mirotic, but he demanded that Portis be traded. Otherwise, the Montenegrin no longer wants to accrue for the franchise. The Bulls tried to smooth the waves several times, but so far without success.

Center Robin Lopez spoke out against using Portis, saying,”He has handled the situation well. I know he’s mentally prepared, and we’re happy to have him back.”
