NHL: First home win for Rieders Coyotes – Penguins in crisis

Tobias Rieder and the Arizona Coyotes celebrated their first home win of the season at the NHL in their seventh attempt. However, Rieder’s team needed the penalty shootout for the second victory of the season in the 2:1 against the Carolina Hurricanes.

With only five points, the Coyotes, in which Rieder played inconspicuously against the Hurricanes, are still somewhat beaten off, despite their victory, the taillight in the west. Arizona is currently the weakest team in the league.

At least one of the depressions in form is currently going through defending champions Pittsburgh Penguins with his German national players Tom Kühnhackl and Frederik Tiffels. The Vancouver Canucks’ 2-4 defeat at Vancouver Canucks meant the second defeat for the NHL champion within three days, so that the Penguins in the east have since slipped to fourth place. Kühnhackl could hardly give the guests any impetus, while Tiffels did not belong to the Penguins squad.

Korbinian Holzer was also the spectator at the 1:2 of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks after the San Jose Sharks. Likewise, goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer did not receive an ice age at the 3-2 victory of the Washington Capitals at the Boston Bruins.
