Ice hockey: Raedeke, Krueger and Zerressen nominated for Germany Cup

National coach Marco Sturm has reacted to the injury-related cancellations of Thomas Oppenheimer and Frank Hördler (both polar bears Berlin) as well as Denis Reul (Adler Mannheim) and has nominated three more players for the Deutschland Cup. Striker Brent Raedeke (Adler Mannheim), Justin Krueger (SC Bern/Switzerland) and Pascal Zerressen (Cologne sharks) will strengthen the national team.

The selection of the German Ice Hockey Association (DEB) is preparing for the important Olympic endurance test in Augsburg on Wednesday. The DEB selection will begin the prestigious four-nation tournament with Russia on Friday at 7.30 pm. On Saturday (16 o’ clock) the team will face defending champions Slovakia and on Sunday (16.45 o’ clock) the USA.
