NFL: Bucs: Shoulder forces Winston to pause

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have to do without quarterback Jameis Winston for the time being. The Playcaller was injured in the defeat against the New Orleans Saints on the already beaten shoulder and is now spared for at least two weeks.

“They say it’s not structural damage, but they don’t want to let him play,”said Head Coach Dirk Koetter, explaining the doctors’ decision on Monday.”For the time being, it’ll take at least two weeks.”

Winston originally injured himself three weeks ago in the game against the Arizona Cardinals. Despite the injury he played in the following games and had to put up with several hits.

Ryan Fitzpatrick will replace him at the game against the New York Jets on Sunday. The veteran will meet his former team. Just like Jets quarterback Josh McCown.

In addition to Winston, the Bucs also have to forego Mike Evans, who is banned from playing.
