Olympic Games: IOC member Gilady apologizes for sexual harassment allegations

Alex Gilady, a member of the IOC, apologized for allegations of sexual harassment. Two female journalists had accused the Israeli of exposing themselves to them in 1992 and 1999, respectively.

“In either case, I had no intention of harming anyone. I deeply regret it if my behaviour has caused any trouble,”said Gilady, who has been a member of the IOC since 1994 and is vice-chairman of the IOC Commission responsible for the 2020 Games in Tokyo.

An IOC spokesman commented on the allegations against Gilady on SID’s request, saying:”We have read the allegations in media reports,” saying:”A general guideline states that the IOC will of course review the matter if it is made aware of evidence.
