Handball: Göppingen gets Zelenovic in summer – and comfort immediately

Handball Bundesliga team Frisch Auf Göppingen has already brought the first newcomer for the coming season to the table. On Friday, the eleventh place in the standings announced the transfer of Serbian international Nemanja Zelenovic (27) from league rivals SC Magdeburg. The player in the backroom will be awarded a two-year contract as of the 2018/19 season.

Alexander Trost, a seasoned right-wing outsider, is to provide immediate help.

The 36-year-old was most recently active for the underclass TV Neuhausen/Filder, but already gained Bundesliga experience at VfL Pfullingen, HBW Balingen-Weilstetten and TV Neuhausen/Erms.

Consolation is supposed to replace the Slovakian Thomas Urban, who has to retire at least until January due to a broken middle hand.
