Golf: Cejka aims for next top result

Alex Cejka (Munich) is aiming for his next top result on the US tour. One week after second place in Las Vegas, the 46-year-old finished nineth in Playa del Carmen.

The 7.1 million dollar competition was abandoned prematurely on Friday because of darkness and the continuation was scheduled for Saturday morning.

Cejka was five shots behind leading US professional Patrick Rodgers, who had only played eleven holes. The clubhouse’s front-runner was his compatriot Patton Kizzire with 132 strokes.

Stephan Jäger had no chance to cut the ball with 148 strokes. The Munich rookie had achieved his best position in the last week with rank 20.
