NBA: Probably no concussion at Uncle Drew’s house

The Boston Celtics have also won the eleventh game in a row. However, the price was high. Kyrie Irving suffered a facial injury after just two minutes. The Guard suspected a concussion, but this was not confirmed.

“I haven’t talked to him yet,”Celtics coach Brad Stevens said when asked how his star player would be doing. Irving had received an elbow from fellow player Aron Baynes in the fight for the rebound and was bleeding from his nose. Uncle Drew left the TD Garden in the middle of the second half and went home.

“He has already sent us a message in a group and congratulated us on our victory,”Stevens continued,”and obviously watched the end of the game,” Boston won despite an 18-point gap and in the absence of the Big Three at Irving, Al Horford and Gordon Hayward.

At least in Irving’s case, Stevens gave the all-clear. No concussion was detected. The symptoms will be closely monitored in the next few days.

The Celtics have to take up again on Sunday, when the Toronto Raptors are guests of the TD Garden (from 9.30 pm in the LIVESTREAM FOR FREE).
