NBA: Carlisle about Noel: Must earn minutes

Nerlens Noel doesn’t really find his way into the track of the Dallas Mavericks anymore. Against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the center sat on the bench for 48 minutes. Rick Carlisle expects more from the 23-year-old.

“The coach explained his decision following the 104:111 defeat:” Salah has worked his way through the minutes. It’s simple: You fight, you earn minutes, you get minutes. And then you’ll have to keep working to keep them.”

Despite the circumstances, Noel was relaxed:”I’m fine,”says the Big Man,”I’m a very confident player. I know I can influence games. When my number is called, I’ll do just that and help you win games.”

According to consistent media reports, Noel rejected a contract offer from Mavericks for 70 million dollars (four years) in the summer to recommend a maximum contract. In the current season, he scores 5.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
