NBA: LeBron on Smith Jr.:”He’d have to be a crease.”

LeBron James praised Rookie Dennis Smith Jr. for his Cleveland Cavaliers’ close 111:104 win over Dallas Mavericks. According to the King, the New York Knicks would have missed a chance.

“The Knicks decided against a really good one and Dallas got a rough diamond,” New York picked Frank Ntikilina in eighth place in the NBA draft, and a pick later on the Mavs secured the rights to Smith Jr.

“I know this will make a lot of headlines, but he should be a kink,”the Cavs star repeated his statement,”I know Dallas is definitely happy that he didn’t go there,” Smith, who has been mentored by James since high school, scores 14.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this season. In a direct duel with Cleveland he played 21 points (8/16 FG), 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

The answer of the Knicks didn’t take long. Enes Kanter twittered:”No! We love what we have… New York and Cleveland will meet on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.
