Alpine skiing: Frenchman Poisson deceased in training fall

The French alpine skier David Poisson has died after a training crash in Nakiska/Canada. This was announced on Monday by the French Ski Federation (FFS).

The biggest success of the 35-year-old athlete was winning the bronze medal at the 2013 World Championships in Schladming, FFS President Michel Vion was quoted in a press release as saying,”Smashed down by this news”.

The details of the incident were not known at first.
