Golf: Langer misses overall victory on US Seniors Tour

Ikone Bernhard Langer has missed out on his fifth overall victory on the US Seniors Tour.

The 60-year-old from Anhausen slipped down to second place in the overall standings due to a twelfth place at the final tournament in Phoenix, while the American Kevin Sutherland, who won the so-called Charles Schwab Cup in Phoenix, secured his success.

Langer, who once again underpinned his exceptional position on the Tour des Ü50 players with seven tournament victories this season, had won the overall standings three times in a row.

A new triumph would have been the fifth overall. However, the American was extremely satisfied with the record $3.6 million in prize money earned and twelve top 3 results this season.

“I have to pinch myself and be very grateful for this season,”said Langer.
