NHL: Draisaitls Oilers lose to Washington

Edmonton Oilers with international Leon Draisaitl continue to lag behind expectations in the NHL. After a short intermediate high, the old champion, who started the season weakly, lost his second game in a row.

After a 2:4 at the New York Rangers there was a 1:2 penalty shootout at the Washington Capitols.

Draisaitl forgave his penalty as well as his attacking partner Connor McDavid, T. J. Oshie turned for Washington. The Oilers remain in the West with nine defeats in 17 games penultimate.

For Washington, on the other hand, it was their sixth consecutive victory. Braden Holtby fought off 29 of the Oilers’ shots. Philipp Grubauer, the national goalkeeper, was not used.

The Anaheim Ducks lost without Korbinian Holzer against Tampa Bay Lightning 1:2.
