Ice hockey: On the Board of Directors: Eichin makes a comeback at Kölner Haien

Thomas Eichin (51) is back with the Cologne sharks. The long-standing managing director, who most recently worked as manager of the football clubs Werder Bremen and 1860 Munich, was elected to the board of directors of the traditional club from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) at the general meeting.

The former Bundesliga professional Eichin (Mönchengladbach, Nuremberg) was already employed by the sharks as marketing manager from 1999 to 2001 and then for almost twelve years as managing director.

His tenure includes the eighth and last shark championship title in 2002.
