NFL: Bills put Taylor on the bench

The Buffalo Bills draw the consequences from the weak last weeks and change their starting quarterback. Tyrod Taylor goes on the bench and Nathan Peterman takes over against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11.

Peterman was the Bills’ five-round pick of this season and had represented Taylor in the last five minutes of the 10:47 defeat to New Orleans Saints in Week 10. Taylor had completed nine of 18 passes for 56 yards in the game.

“We are in the playoff race and we are always focused on becoming the best possible team,”said Head Coach Sean McDermott on Wednesday,”We’re poised to be better than 5-4.”

The Bills are only 28th in the league with 292 yards per game. With an average of 18.9 points, they are 19. in the league.

Taylor’s 56 yards and his 33.6 register rating were all-time lows in his career as Buffalo’s starter. Peterman, on the other hand, laid a 75-yard drive against the Saints and led the team to a touchdown pass on Nick O’ Leary.
