NFL: David Johnson’s cast is off

David Johnson has had the cast on his left arm removed. The running back of the Arizona Cardinal’s running back had dislocated its wrist and has been standing on Injured Reserve ever since.

Johnson, who had already been seriously injured in Week 1, posted a video on Twitter in which he shows that he can move his wrist normally again without using plaster.

Johnson was operated on immediately after the injury. Now Johnson will have to work to rebuild strength and stability in the forearm and hand before he would get the go-ahead from the doctors for a possible return in 2017.

He has already stated several times that he would like to play again this year. With a score of 4-5, however, the cardinal playoff chances look slim, so it seems unlikely that they will be able to re-use their best player this season.
