Figure Skating: Streubel ends his career

The former German figure skating champion Franz Streubel (26) has ended his career.

The Berlin resident has not yet been able to compete this season because of a protracted ankle injury and therefore has no chance of qualifying for the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

Streubel’s greatest successes were the two German championship titles 2015 and 2016 as well as places 13 and 14 at the European Championships in the same years.
