Golf: Tour finale: Kaymer gets himself in position

Martin Kaymer confirmed his last ascending form at the final of the European Tour. The 32-year-old from Mettmann mastered the Par-72 course in Dubai in 68 strokes and took tenth place in the extended top group.

Last week, the two-time Major Winner in Sun City had finished fifth on the way to his first tour win since 2014.

The front runner in Dubai was US-American Patrick Reed with 65 strokes ahead of Olympic champion Justin Rose and Australian Scott Hend.

In Dubai, in addition to the eight million dollars for the tournament, a special bonus of five million dollars will be distributed.

The best in the season’s final standings will receive 1.25 million dollars, the tenth 250,000. Kaymer takes 35th place before the final. Place.

A total of three players still have the chance to win the big payday. First and foremost, Tommy Fleetwood, the leading Englishman in the overall standings, however, got off to a weak start with 73 strokes.
