NBA: 62 million!

Robert Covington will remain with the Philadelphia 76ers in the long term, according to consistent media reports. The Swingman is expected to sign a new deal no later than the weekend.

The framework is already in place: Covington is expected to sign for a total of 62 million dollars. This would include a renegotiation of his current contract: Covington earns only $1.57 million this season, and this salary would be raised to $15 million.

Subsequently, Covington would receive the remainder of the 62 million dollars, or 47 million dollars, over the next four seasons until summer 2022.

Only since Wednesday the Sixers had permission to negotiate a new deal with Covington, but it was to be expected that they would soon want to make nails with their heads.

The 26-year-old has developed extremely well in the last few years, currently he is currently playing his best season to date with 16.5 points and an outstanding 49.5 percent of the three-line.
