The Boston Celtics have won 14 games in a row and, after their victory over the Golden State Warriors, are now considered a potential finalist. LeBron James is not particularly worried about this yet.
The four-time MVP was asked what he thinks of the start of Celtics and his old teammate Kyrie Irving after his Cavs’ victory over the Clippers on Friday, but didn’t want to say much about it:”I’m supposed to comment on that now? Nope. I’ve got enough to concentrate on here. I’m trying to move in the right direction,”said James.
It was an Eastern Conference game,”James analyzed,” There aren’t many games where Golden State doesn’t play around 120 points. Boston has controlled the tempo well. Both teams didn’t hit much, at the end of the game free-throwing was decisive. But apart from the balance sheet, I can’t pay much attention to it. They play good basketball.”
The Cavs have now also won four games in a row after their interim crisis and are currently on a 9-7 record. James was therefore not particularly interested in Stephen Curry’s statement that it was “very likely”that Boston and not Cleveland could reach the finals.
“At the end of the day, it’s about being professional every night and getting our best performance,”James said,”I personally don’t care what other people say. I’m way past that. I don’t care. I look at us and how we work as a team every night.”
