The Green Bay Packers not only lost to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11, they even had their first shutdown since 2006 (0:23). Head coach Mike McCarthy, however, then backed Quarterback Brett Hundley despite his particularly weak performance.
“Brett Hundley is our starter. I believe in Brett Hundley,”McCarthy said after the home race,”It obviously didn’t go very well today. We understand the standard set here. We’re all a part of it, and Brett Hundley is a part of it.”
However, since Aaron Rodgers’ retirement, however, the points average has dropped sharply. Whereas once there were 27.4, now there are only 13.4. With Hundley, the Packers are 1-4 after starting 4-1.
“We’re going to burn the tape,”McCarthy told reporters:”It’s unfortunate how it went today, because the team has been training very well this week. You wish the team would be successful after training so well.”
Against the Ravens Hundley threw three exceptions and lost a fumble. He threw for 239 yards (21/36). In addition, Hundley also collected six sacks in the game.
