Comeback coming soon?

The Cavaliers are eagerly awaiting the debut of injured Isaiah Thomas. He recently trained almost fully and gave updates on his well-being.

IT4, who came to Cleveland by trade this summer, is recovering from a hip injury he sustained in the 2017 playoffs. But his rehab is progressing: On Sunday he took the next step in training.

For the first time he took part in five-to-zero drills across the field and did not have to hold back. He then told cleveland. com that he felt good and that this was the “hardest drill” he’s run since his injury.

However, it is still considered probable that Thomas will not return to the NBA scene this year. The Cavs are anyway extremely careful with him and don’t want to risk anything.

Meanwhile, Jose Calderon can look forward to minutes in the upcoming games. Since Thomas, Derrick Rose and Iman Shumpert are injured as well as Thomas, coach Tyronn Lue announced that he would make more use of the veteran, also as a starter.
