Ski-Alpine: Moser-Pröll:”Would have known how to defend me”.

In the discussion about accusations of abuse by former ski racer Nicola Werdenigg (here’s the story), ski legend Annemarie Moser-Pröll also took the floor on Tuesday evening in ServusTV’s evening news: Austria’s sportswoman of the century, a team colleague from Werdenigg, regretted the incident, but also said:”I knew how to defend myself”.

“I’m sorry for coaches, supervisors and service people. Those who have given everything and are now put in a bad light,”said Moser-Pröll. Moser-Pröll did not appear in the TV interview, but according to the preliminary press release of ServusTV, Moser-Pröll did not notice any sexual abuse in her career:”As long as I was involved in active racing, nothing happened to us at all, not even the slightest bit,”Moser-Pröll was quoted.
