Alpine Skiing: First official training in Lake Louise cancelled

The first official training for the World Cup downhill on Saturday in Lake Louise in Canada was cancelled after heavy snowfalls.

Two further training runs, in which the German ski racers Andreas Sander, Josef Ferstl and Thomas Dreße can also prepare for the competition, are planned for Thursday and Friday.

The departure from Lake Louise is marked by the fatal training accident of Frenchman David Poisson.

The World Cup third of 2013 was killed last Monday in Nakiska, Canada.
