Ice hockey: Nuremberg takes over DEL leadership

The Nuremberg Ice Tigers have, at least temporarily, taken the lead in the DEL. Against the ERC Ingolstadt the Franconians won on 21. On the second day of the match, they won 4:2 (2:2,1:0,1:0) and won for the fourth time in a row.

The Ice Tigers are the leaders with 51 points, and Ingolstadt (30) is lagging behind their own expectations as the eleventh place in the table. Master Red Bull Munich (49) can regain the lead in Friday’s home game against Grizzlys Wolfsburg.

David Steckel (3rd) and Dane Fox (5th) took the hosts 2:0 early in the lead. Kael Mouillierat (15th) and Patrick McNeill (16th) equalized in the first period.

John Mitchell (35th) met Steven Reinprecht (57nd) for the Nuremberg lead again, who was responsible for the decision.
