Ski Alpin: Second downhill training in Lake Louise cancelled

The second practice session for the World Cup downhill on Saturday at Lake Louise in Canada has also been cancelled. The wetness after the snowfall, which had prevented the first practice run on Wednesday, and the soft piste conditions would not have allowed a training, was reportedly on the part of the FIS.

Another training run, in which the German ski racers Andreas Sander, Josef Ferstl, Thomas Dreßen and Dominik Schwaiger can also prepare for the competition, is planned for Friday.

The departure from Lake Louise is marked by the fatal training accident of Frenchman David Poisson. The World Cup third of 2013 was killed last Monday in Nakiska, Canada.
