NFL: Seahawks: Soon “Clarity” in Avril and Chancellor?

The Seattle Seattle Seahawks’ defenses are off the ground these days – Richard Sherman, Cliff Avril and Kam Chancellor are three big names in the long run. With Avril and Chancellor, the team hopes for early clarity on the prognosis.

While Sherman’s diagnosis – the cornerback has suffered an Achilles tendon tear – is clear, Avril and Chancellor have contracted neck injuries. The forecasts as to how long the two of them will last are still completely open.

But that’s about to change, as Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said in the Seattle Times:”We respect the process they are going through and want what’s good for them. Therefore, we are currently only reporting where they stand. But there will be news in the foreseeable future. I know that’s not what you want to hear, and you want to know more. But we’ll deal with it this way to help the two of them.”

Carroll further clarified that it will soon be clear whether Chancellor or Avril can even be used again this season. Avril has been placed on the Injured Reserve List and, after Seattle’s duel with the Jacksonville Jaguars on 10th January, could have been a winner. December will be reactivated.
