Alpine Skiing: Jansrud wins, Ferstl takes a step towards the Olympics

Kjetil Jansrud from Norway has won the first Super-G of the Olympic Winter under changing external conditions. In Lake Louise, Canada, the 2014 Olympic champion won the race ahead of Austria’s Max Franz (+0.28 seconds) and Hannes Reichelt (+0.32 seconds) and his team-mates Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (+0.41) and Aksel Lund Svindal (+0.52).

The best German was Josef Ferstl, who achieved 10th place (+1.17) and thus half of the standard for the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.
