Biathlon: Hauser/Eder win single-mixed relay

Lisa Theresa Hauser and Simon Eder have once again proven their strength in the single-mixed relay of the Biathlon World Cup. The Tyrolean and the Salzburg team won this non-Olympic competition on Sunday at the season opener in Östersund, after they had already triumphed in Kontiolahti in March and finished second in Sweden a year ago.

Hauser, who only had to reload twice in 20 shots, and the faultless Eder won after 4 times 1.5 and 5 times 1.5 kilometres 16.5 seconds ahead of the Germans Vanessa Hinz and Erik Lesser. Kazakhstan (+32.7 seconds) finished third ahead of France with World Cup winners Martin Fourcade and Marie Dorin Habert (33.7).
