NFL: Cautious all-clear for Greg Olsen

Greg Olsen returned after his stay on the Injured Reserve List in Week 12 for the Carolina Panthers in the New York Jets game. But the tight end had to leave the game early on. Head coach Ron Rivera, however, gave a cautious all-clear.

Olsen played his first match after his foot broke earlier in the season. But early in the second quarter, he left the match at MetLife Stadium with ailments on the just healed foot.

Rivera, however, does not start from a more serious story:”He was getting a little tired, he was in slight pain. So we took it out in the third quarter. He got out of the halfway point and wanted to try. But it hurt a little. The physios thought it would be better to take it out. We’ll take a closer look when we get home on Monday.

Olsen himself told ESPN:”We just thought it was best not to do anything crazy on this artificial turf.”

Olsen ended the game with a catch for ten yards. All in all, he now has four receptions for 38 yards in the season.
