NFL: Seattle Seahawks: Season out for Kam Chancellor

The fears of the Seattle Seahawks have been confirmed: Safety Kam Chancellor will miss the rest of the season with a neck injury. This was announced by Head Coach Pete Carroll on Monday.

“He won’t make it back this year,”Carroll said in a radio interview with 710 ESPN Seattle, adding,”Beyond that, it’s all about him.”

Chancellor was injured at the Arizona Cardinals 22:16 in Week 10 and was then examined by several doctors. The end of the season had long been expected.

Chancellor started in nine games and only missed the game at Week 4 in Oakland until his neck injury.

He is in his eighth NFL season and this year brought it to 49 tackles and a Forced Fumble. Chancellor is considered one of the key members of the Legion of Boom, who has already lost a second member this season after Cornerback Richard Sherman (chili tendon).
