Parker’s leg had been badly injured during the past playoffs and has been working hard on the comeback ever since. Originally, there was talk of a return in December at the earliest – he has now undercut this timetable.
In his comeback, he was congratulated by fellow players before the game started, and the fans in San Antonio cheered him loudly. There were a lot of emotions involved,”he said afterwards.” I was very, very close to tears.”
