NBA: Curry and KD protect Lonzo

Next night, Lakers-Rookie Lonzo Ball will meet the Golden State Warriors for the first time. In Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant they have two superstars who defend the pale rookie and demand patience.

“He’s a rookie,”said Curry during a training session on ball,”he goes through ups and downs, which is quite normal. It’s a learning process he has to go through, whether or not he’s hyped before his first game.”

Curry assumes that the No. 2 pick will have a great career “He loves basketball and will fight his way through it. You guys don’t judge me by my first 20 games anymore. At least I hope so.”

Kevin Durant looks like him.”He’s a rookie. He’s still learning. He still has to find out where his spots are, what works in the NBA and what doesn’t work. But I’m sure he will.”

Ball also commented before the matchup against the Dubs – he believes that Curry is “the best shooter of all time” and “It’s just exciting to watch him. He can create a litter from any situation – whether from the dribbling or catch-and-shoot. He’s one of the best point guards in the league.”
