Handball: EHF-Cup:”Attractive” opponents for Foxes Berlin

The Foxes Berlin will face two strong opponents in the group stage of the EHF-Cup. The front runner in the German Bundesliga will face last year’s semi-final opponent, St. Peter St. Hermann. Raphael Handball/France, and Helvetia Anaitasuna/Spain, quarter-finalist of 2016. The foxes also meet Lugi HF/Sweden. That was the result of the draw on Thursday in Vienna.

“It could have been easier opponents,”said Foxes Managing Director Bob Hanning. They are “highly attractive teams that we are really looking forward to”. In addition to last year’s finalists, title holders Frisch Auf Göppingen and former Champions League winner SC Magdeburg were also drawn to their groups.

The group phase begins on 10/11. February 2018,16 teams will fight in four groups until February 1,2018. April 2018 for the quarter-finals. Over the past three years, the winner of the “small” European Cup, as in 13 of the last 14 seasons, has always been a member of the Bundesliga – the groups at a glance:
