Hassan Whiteside of the Miami Heat was again missing due to knee problems against the New York Knicks. While Heat-Coach Erik Spoelstra was less worried, Whiteside had a different opinion on the matter.
“We won’t use it because of the back-to-back,”Spoelstra said before the game in Madison Square Garden. The New York Knicks rolled over the Heat without whiteside,”When we get back to Miami, we’re gonna go over it again. But an MRI won’t be necessary.”
Whiteside will try to find out what it is like when we get back to Miami,”Whiteside missed five games at the beginning of the season due to ongoing knee problems,” I’m now hauling it through the season. I’ve had problems since the Orlando game,”confessed Whiteside.
The Big Man has played 15 seasonal games so far, with an average of 26.8 minutes on the field. This is about six minutes less than last season. Nevertheless, Whiteside still has a double doubled average score of 14.9 points and 12.7 rebounds. However, the center blocks as few throws (1.6 blocks) as in 2012, when it played 18 games for the Sacramento Kings.
