NBA: Melo:”Frustration grows bigger after every bankruptcy.”

The Oklahoma City Thunder have now lost three games in a row and are showing a negative balance. The mood among the Thunders is correspondingly bad. Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook talked about the frustration that has accumulated.

“We’re not frustrated. But we are of course pissed off by our performance,”Anthony admitted to the press after a training session,”We all want to win the games. When you get angry, you show that we care about defeat. We have so much talent, but we can’t show it on the court. That annoys you, of course.”

Last week, the Thunders beat the reigning champion with the Warriors to win blowouts against Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic,”We don’t get the results we want. But we also know that we can do it,”said Melo,”I played in teams where we lost four, ten or even twelve games at a time. The frustration grows, of course, after every defeat.”

Russell Westbrook was also frustrated after the bankruptcy in Orlando. I’m responsible for making sure that we go into the games with full concentration and give our best in both defence and offense,”Westbrook said,” I have to set a good example. That’s what I’m gonna do, and we’re gonna take the helm.”

Anthony takes a slightly different view:”I’ve been going through this for 14 years and I know what it feels like,”says the former Knicks player.”He mustn’t shoulder it all by himself. We must not allow that to happen. We have to go through this together.”

Present reporters also asked Melo if he had already taken advice from his buddies LeBron James and Dwayne Wade. The two went through a similarly difficult phase at the beginning of the heat era in Miami. Melo smiled with a smile and pointed to the time of the season, saying,”It’s still very early in the season. Panic is out of place. Trust me. Trust me. We’ll solve the mystery.”
