Cross-country skiing: Biathlete Dahlmeier wins FIS-Cup sprint

Seven-time biathlon world champion Laura Dahlmeier is ready for her return to the World Cup. After the 24-year-old had to cancel her start at the opener in Östersund due to a cold, she won the cross-country skiing sprint in the second-class FIS Cup on Saturday.

“Ready for Hochfilzen”, wrote Dahlmeier among the winning photo, which she published in the social networks.

The second biathletes’ World Cup will take place in Hochfilzen next week. Dahlmeier made history there this year and was the first biathlete to win five gold medals at a World Championships.
