NBA: Slight all-clear: Jokic fails

The Denver Nuggets will have to do without Big Man Nikola Jokic for the time being, ESPN reports. However, the Serbian has not been injured as badly as initially feared.

Jokic contracted ankle compression, but an MRI examination on Friday revealed no deeper damage. He will have to suspend some games, but there is no serious injury.

Jokic had injured himself in the game against Chicago on Friday night and had to be replaced in the second quarter. However, the nuggets won tightly, but all too often they would not be able to do so without Jokic, especially since Power Forward Paul Millsap has been missing for a long time.

The 22-year-old Jokic scores 15.5 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists this season.
