NBA: Stevens and D’ Antoni are coaches of the month

The NBA announced the coaches of the month on Friday, taking into account both October and November games. The choice was made between Brad Stevens (Eastern Conference) and Mike D’ Antoni (Western Conference).

Stevens had led his Boston Celtics to the NBA’s best record of 19-4, winning ten out of twelve away games. In the meantime 16 games have been won in one go. The Celtics had the best defensive rating (98.4) and won all 15 games in which they were able to keep opponents below 100 points.

With the Houston Rockets, D’ Antoni achieved the second best result of the league (17-4) and is currently greeting from the top of the Western Conference. The rockets have won their games with an average of 10.8 points difference (best value) and have already won seven times with over 20 points difference.

Other candidates for the award included Stan Van Gundy, Tyronn Lue, Steve Kerr and Gregg Popovich.
