Ski Alpin: Lake Louise: Shiffrin wins, Hütter just past the podium

Mikaela Shiffrin from the USA has sensationally won the second World Cup downhill of the alpine ski ladies in Lake Louise. The defending champion of the overall World Cup won her 33rd place on Saturday. World Cup victory 0.13 seconds ahead of the German Viktoria Rebensburg, 0.17 seconds ahead of the Swiss Michelle Gisin and 0.19 seconds ahead of the Styrian winner Cornelia Hütter.

Shiffrin only contested the fourth departure of her career; on Friday, the former technology specialist had already surprised as the third. The race started with a 75-minute delay due to a power outage.
