NBA: Pelicans: Is Davis on the verge of a long break?

The New Orleans Pelicans are worried about their superstar Anthony Davis. He is threatened with a long break due to groin injury.

The cars had to do without the Big Man already in the game against the Trail Blazers. The day before, he had injured himself in a duel with the Utah Jazz at the groin. The incident occurred when he tried to box out his opponent Derrick Davors.

Davis is scheduled to undergo an MRI examination on Sunday or Monday. According to The Vertical, it is believed to be likely to diagnose an injury that forces Davis to take a break that could last several weeks.

Davis has been struggling with injury problems throughout his career. In his five previous seasons he never made it to the full number of games. In the current season the Power Forward scores 25.2 points and 11 rebounds in 34.9 minutes.
