Ski Jumping: Stefan Kraft lands on the podium

On Sunday Stefan Kraft made up the podium position of only one tenth of a point on the previous day. At the World Cup ski jumping event in Nizhny Tagil, the Salzburg rider held third place after the first jump and only had to admit defeat to German Andreas Wellinger and Richard Freitag. For Kraft, it was the second single podium finish in the Olympic season.

Wellinger, who was happy about his third World Cup victory, was 4.8 points ahead of Saturday’s winner Friday. Force were missing on second place 7.4 points. Manuel Fettner finished 13th as the second best ÖSV jumper, Clemens Aigner (20th) and Manuel Poppinger (23rd) also scored points.

Three ÖSV athletes had to watch the final: Michael Hayböck (35th), Daniel Huber (45th) and Markus Schiffner (47th).
