The Memphis Grizzlies have now lost eleven games in a row and have meanwhile fired on their head coach. The injured Mike Conley was missing for some time. The Point Guard is sure that the grizzlies wouldn’t have lost so many games if he had been fit.
“I know we’ll be a completely different team on my return,” explained Conley to the Commercial Appeal,”I find it annoying that I don’t have to sit back and do nothing,” the Guard is still struggling with Achilles’ tendon problems and has been missing for nine games, all of which the grizzlies have lost.
“It’s hard to sit on the bench and watch because I know we’d be in a different position if I played,”admitted Conley.”I feel a little responsible for the whole thing. We’re just not the team we were.”
However, it is still unclear when Conley will finally return “The doctors told me that the tendon can heal completely. I just have to give her time,”said the Guard, explaining his state of health,”I used to rush things too much. This time I want to act wisely, which is frustrating. But I know I can’t help the team when it’s stricken.”
Conley has only played 12 games so far this season. In 31 minutes he played 17.1 points and 4.1 assists. However, his throwing rate of 38.1 percent is the worst ever in his career. His threesome is also in the basement with only 31.2 percent.
