NFL: Late Hit: Rob Gronkowski suspended for a game

The New England Patriots have to give up their star tight end Rob Gronkowski in Week 14. The NFL closed Gronkowski last Sunday’s game against Buffalo Bills due to excessive hardship.

The 28-year-old’s team was punished in the game because Gronkowski tackled the grounded defensive back Tre’ Davious White outside the field.

NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan addressed a letter to the Patiots player:”Their action was not accidental, could have been avoided and put the opponent at risk of injury. The competition committee has clearly stated that hits of this kind have no place in our sport. Such hits include those from yesterday’s game.”

Insiders of the NFL network have learnt that the 28-year-old will protest against the ban. Gronkowski is once again in this season a strong offense for quarterback Tom Brady. Gronkowski has won 849 yards of space at 55 receptions and seven touchdowns.
