Ice Hockey: DEL: Nuremberg extends with Topscorer Dupuis

The Nuremberg Ice Tigers have tied their top scorer Philippe Dupuis to themselves for the long term. As the DEL’s runner-up in the standings announced on Tuesday, the 32-year-old Canadian will receive a new contract until the end of the 2019/20 season.

With eleven goals and ten draws from 28 games, Dupuis has so far played an outstanding season for the Franconian team, with six of his eleven goals playing a decisive role. In a total of 233 DEL matches for Hamburg Freezers and Ice Tigers to date, the striker scored 64 goals and contributed 101 goals.

“Philippe Dupuis has been an outstanding personality in our team since his first day in Nuremberg,”said Ice-Tigers Sports Director Martin Jiranek:”He enjoys the greatest respect from his fellow players and has an unbridled will to win. We are very happy that he will stay in Nuremberg for at least another two years.”
