NBA: Livingston and referee suspended after collision

The clash between Shaun Livingston and Referee Courtney Kirkland at the Golden State Warriors game and the Miami Heat caused a sensation. Now both players were punished by the League. Livingston has to watch a game while the referee can’t whistle for a week.

This was announced by the League in a statement. The incident occurred in the middle of the second quarter when Livingston complained about a missing whistle. As a result, the Warriors Guard and Kirkland clashed with their heads. Livingston got a technical foul for this and was also ejected because he had made physical contact with a referee.

According to investigations by the league, however, Kirkland approached the player and was also responsible for the incident. That’s why we can’t run a game all week. He is not allowed to intervene again until Monday.

Livingston’s suspension had already been removed when the Warriors won the New Orleans Pelicans and will be able to participate in the next game of the Dubs at the Charlotte Hornets.
