Handball: Vukovic returns to VfL Gummersbach

Croatian national handball player Drago Vukovic returns to VfL Gummersbach this summer. The 34-year-old gets 13 in Table 13. The contract is the first new commitment for the coming season.

“I am very happy that we can bring a player with Dragos quality to Gummersbach,” said Sports Director Christoph Schindler:”Drago has a great Gummersbach past and was one of the players who won the last three titles for Gummersbach.

Vukovic was a regular player at VfL from 2008 to 2011 and celebrated three European Cup victories with Gummersbach “My heart has decided that I am going back to Gummersbach. I spent three really nice years there,”said the backroom player. Until the end of the season Vukovic is still under contract with the Füchsen Berlin.
