NFL: Giants: Eli Manning again the starting quarterback

The 360-degree rotation seems to be perfect: Corresponding reports indicate that Eli Manning will be back on the starting quarterback of the New York Giants next Sunday – just a week after it was dismantled.

Mike Garafolo from the NFL Network reports on this, among others. Last week, the Giants Manning had bet on the bench, but Geno Smith was allowed to play against the Oakland Raiders instead. Manning’s spectacular series of 210 starts in a row ended, the longest active and second longest series of all time.

At the beginning of the week, head coach Ben McAdoo was dismissed – it was the end of a very inglorious, for the otherwise so stable Giants atypical episode, and not only with regard to the ex-coach.

With only a week’s break, Manning is now obviously starting from scratch again when next Sunday’s match against the Dallas Cowboys. From the original plan to test not only Geno Smith, but also rookie quarterback Davis Webb, the team seems to have moved away in a flash.
