Golf: Heisele after second round of the season opener

The Munich golf pro Sebastian Heisele, the runner-up of the European Tour’s second tournament of the season, also got off to a brilliant start.

At the Joburg Open in Johannesburg, which was endowed with over one million euros, the 29-year-old played 64th like five competitors. Only the native South African Keenan Davidse (63) was better on the Par-71 course.

Heisele, who had secured his Tour ticket through the Qualifying School in 2016, had already started second last week on Mauritius. In the end, however, it was only 62nd place for him.

In Johannesburg, a leading position for Heisele would be doubly worthwhile. The top three top 10 players who are not already qualified in any other way will receive a ticket to the British Open on 19-24 October. till 22. July in Carnoustie, Scotland. The winner in Johannesburg receives a cheque for 195,830 euros.
