NBA: Curry: Injury “long term good for us”

Stephen Curry has injured his ankle and will be out for at least two weeks before being re-evaluated. However, the dual MVP was not too worried about ESPN.

Curry had injured himself in the game against the Pelicans on Monday and was therefore unable to compete against the Hornets on Wednesday in his hometown of Charlotte “I would have liked to play here, but it’s better now than later in the season,”Curry said,”it gives me some time to get well and find my rhythm again. In the long term, that should be good for us.”

Even without curry, Golden State won against Charlotte with a clear 101:87, with the two-time MVP of Quinn Cook represented in the Starting Five. Head coach Steve Kerr even went on to say:”In a funny way, it’s good for our team.”

His explanation for this:”In the next few weeks we will have the chance to improve as a team. Because we no longer have a choice and must be more precise, our margin of error is not so great. We must see this as an opportunity.”

Curry, who often had ankle problems in the past, was relieved in any case that it was only a compression:”From the point in time it is the best possible scenario. I didn’t know how serious it was, so the results are good news. and when the Warriors get me back, I’ll be ready.”

Curry has played 26.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.6 assists so far this season. After their victory over Charlotte, the Warriors are in second place at the Western Conference with a 20-6 record.
